The Floors Will Be Cleaned Somehow

With Guest Star Gracie Jaco

While Having Clean Up Time In The Silvey House

"Be more like a noodle!" Daniel shouted. His proclamations naturally drew me to the scene.

"I'm trying!" Gracie shouted back. Her voice was quite muddled because she was laying face down on the living room floor with Daniel standing over her.

"Ok, let's try this again." Daniel called down to her.

I watched in shock and awe as Daniel then reached down and grabbed Gracie by the ankles and began to pull her around the hardwood floors and whip her from side to side.
"It's not working." Daniel said with a down cast expression.

Gracie popped up and looked at me and said "I don't make a good mop."

"We tried," Daniel said comforting her.

"Ok. Lets mop with something else." She said as she skipped away.

Chipped Tooth

While Sitting In The Car At a Red Light

"What's wrong with your tooth?" My mom asked Daniel. "Open your mouth." She demanded.

"Ahh..." He opened it as wide as he could.

"You chipped your tooth!" She said, distressed. "What did you do?"

"I have no idea! I haven't fallen down." He looked like he was thinking really hard. And then it dawned on him. "Oh! I have started doing this recently." He said as he began to punch himself in the mouth over and over.

My mother put her head in her hands.

I Saved His Life, You Guys...

While Camping Out In The Trailer

Daniel and I were sharing a mattress on the floor. He had been sleeping for an hour or so, but I was having trouble drifting off. My eyes were getting heavy when suddenly Daniel rolled over and sat up, startled in his sleep.
“Ashley! I need your help!” He said in a shaky voice
“What’s wrong? Are you twisted in your sleeping bag?” I asked as I began to rearrange his pillow and bag.
“Ashley!” He said in an aggravated tone, “I need your help!”
“What do you need buddy?”  I asked again. He seemed like he didn’t hear me.
“Ash-a-ley!”  he growled a little bit, “I am stuck in the snow! I need your help!” He said a little panicky toward the end.
It was then I realized he was still asleep. I picked him up a little bit and then set him back down again. He rolled over, muttered “Thanks. Thanks soo much, Ashley,” then resumed snoring right where he left off.

It's Obviously Delightful

While standing in the kitchen giving Daniel a hug“Ewwww! You got gross sugar all over me!” I exclaimed, after Daniel left a trail of brown sugar all up and down my arms and shirt.
He looked up at me with a look full of both ironic wonder and exasperation.
“Uh, duh! Sugar is not gross. It’s obviously delightful. You’re so weird.” He replied matter of factly.
He then proceeded to walk away shaking his head in disgust.
